By accessing or using ResuOpt ("we," "our," or "the Service"), available at www.resuopt.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

2. Service Description

ResuOpt is an AI-powered resume optimization service. You upload your existing resume and a target job description, and our system generates an optimized, professionally formatted resume tailored to that role.

The Service includes:

• AI-driven resume analysis and optimization
• One-page professional formatting
• A watermarked preview of the optimized resume at no charge
• Downloadable DOCX and PDF files after payment

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The optimized resume produced by ResuOpt is generated using artificial intelligence. While we strive for high-quality, accurate output, AI systems may occasionally produce content that is imprecise, incomplete, or requires adjustment.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing the generated resume before submitting it to any employer or job application.

ResuOpt does not verify the accuracy of the information you provide, nor do we guarantee that the generated content is free from errors. The Service is a tool to assist you — it does not replace your own professional judgment about the content of your resume.

4. Content Ownership and Template License

Your content belongs to you. You retain ownership of resume text, job descriptions, and other information you submit to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process that content solely to provide optimization outputs.

ResuOpt retains all intellectual property rights in the Service, including website design, software, generated sample libraries, downloadable template structures, and related branding/materials. These rights are not sold or assigned to you.

For downloadable templates and sample resumes, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use and edit files for your own job-search and application activities.

Under this license, you may:

• Edit downloaded templates and optimized files for your own applications
• Export and submit those edited files to potential employers

You may not:

• Resell, redistribute, repost, publish, or sublicense templates or sample files
• Claim authorship or ownership of ResuOpt sample/template materials
• Use templates or sample materials as part of another commercial product or service without written permission

Resume examples published by ResuOpt are fictional and generated for demonstration/educational purposes. They are not real candidate profiles and should not be represented as such.

We may modify, replace, or remove templates, examples, and related download access at any time, and may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

5. Payment Terms

ResuOpt operates on a pay-per-download model:

• Price: $4.99 USD per optimization (one-time payment)
• What you receive: Downloadable DOCX and PDF versions of your optimized resume
• No subscriptions: There are no recurring charges, credit packs, or hidden fees
• Preview before payment: You may view a watermarked preview of your optimized resume at no cost before deciding to purchase

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card number or financial details. Stripe's terms of service apply to all payment transactions.

6. Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee if you are not satisfied with the technical quality of the generated resume. This covers issues such as:

• Formatting errors that make the resume unusable
• Missing sections or content that was present in your original resume
• Technical failures that prevented you from downloading your files

To request a refund, contact us at support@gadgetrunnr.com with your payment confirmation and a description of the issue.

Refunds are not available for dissatisfaction with the content or wording choices made by the AI, as these are subjective and can be edited by you after download. We encourage you to review the watermarked preview before purchasing.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload content that is fraudulent, misleading, or that misrepresents your qualifications
• Impersonate another person, organization, or identity in any application materials
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI models or algorithms
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its output without our written consent
• Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or other technical restrictions
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
• Upload malicious files, malware, or content intended to disrupt the Service
• Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who violate these terms.

8. Usage Limits

To ensure fair access and prevent abuse, the Service enforces usage limits:

• A maximum number of resume optimizations per hour and per day
• File size limits on uploaded resumes (PDF and DOCX formats accepted)
• Character limits on resume text and job descriptions

These limits are subject to change. If you exceed a limit, you will receive a notification and may retry after the cooldown period. Successful payments reset applicable rate limits.

9. Third-Party Services

ResuOpt relies on trusted third-party providers to deliver the Service:

• AI Processing: We use Google Gemini and OpenAI APIs to analyze and optimize resume content. Data sent to these providers is processed according to their enterprise data handling agreements and is not used to train public models.
• Payment Processing: Stripe handles all financial transactions securely and in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.
• Infrastructure: We use industry-standard hosting and database services to operate the website and track anonymous usage analytics.

We are not responsible for the practices, terms, or availability of these third-party services. Their respective terms and privacy policies apply to your interactions with them.

10. Data Processing

Your privacy is fundamental to our service. Resume content is processed in transient memory and is not stored on our servers after your session ends. We do not maintain a database of user resumes, employment history, or personal contact details.

11. No Guarantee of Employment

ResuOpt is a resume formatting and optimization tool. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in job interviews, job offers, or employment.

Hiring decisions are made by employers and are influenced by many factors beyond the content and format of a resume. The Service is designed to improve the presentation and ATS compatibility of your resume, but outcomes depend on your qualifications, the job market, and employer preferences.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ResuOpt and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

• Loss of employment opportunities
• Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content
• Inability to access the Service due to technical issues
• Unauthorized access to your data during transmission

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific optimization in question.

13. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
